Burns Supper – Saturday 7th February 2015, 6.45 pm for 7 pm in The Richmond Hall
Preparations for the Burns Supper are well under way and we look forward to a most enjoyable evening. It is with great sadness that our good friend Bill Michie will not be with us, but knowing Bill, I am sure he would have wanted it all to go ahead and for everyone to enjoy the occasion. He will be with us in spirit, of that I have no doubt.
The “Toast to the Lassies” will now be proposed by another of Bill’s good friends – Mr Malcolm Cheyne. Although Malcolm was born and bred round these parts, his forbears on his father’s side hail from Aberdeenshire, where Cheyne (pronounced “Cheen” up north!!) is a fairly common surname. I am very pleased that Malcolm has agreed to undertake this task. Catering is in the dependable hands of Linda Henderson so we will be assured of tasty and ample fair!! Please bring your own drinks and glasses.
Tickets will cease to be available after 31st January so do be sure to buy now to avoid disappointment.

Pilgrimage to the Seven Churches of Revelation and Istanbul
We are pleased to advise that we have decided to lead a pilgrimage to Turkey next May, visiting the above and many other places connected with St Paul and the Early Church. Did you know? Almost two thirds of the New Testament was written from Turkey or to Turkey or about the spread of the Gospel in Turkey. So there is plenty to do, see and be inspired by. If you would like more information please pick up a brochure and booking form from the church or speak to either of us. Numbers will be limited so it is best to book early.
