Elmers End Free Church Open Weekend

Elmers End Free Church, Goddard Road, BR3 4BN, warmly invite friends from their sister church, Emmanuel, to join them at their Open Church Weekend:

  • Saturday 18th September between 10am and 4pm
  • Sunday 19th September between 1pm and 4pm

It will be featuring three exhibitions:

  • Celebrating local history
  • Celebrating home-produced lockdown art and craft*
  • Celebrating faith with knitted Bible Scenes

Entrance Free, Light Refreshments Available

*Have you produced any art or craft during lockdown? If so, would you be willing to loan an item or two or three for the exhibition for the weekend? If so, thank you! Open to any medium from knitting to needlework, painting to photography, craft to carpentry – and anything else home-made and creative.  Please email Anne Sander who is co-ordinating the art and craft exhibition with any offers asander.sln2000@gmail.com or mention to me. We hope that the display may inspire and encourage others in their crafting endeavours!

The Lockdown Arts and Crafts are going to be set up on Friday 17th September.

Any items will be warmly received between 5:30pm and 7pm, or feel welcome to liaise with me about delivery. The items will be available for collection 4pm-5pm on Sunday 19th September, or again liaise with me. It would be wonderful to have some of Emmanuel’s many skills on display.

Finally, if any friend of Emmanuel would be willing to volunteer as a steward for an hour or two at some point over the weekend, just let me know – your presence would be gratefully received – thank you!
