10.30 am Christmas Day Family Service.
This year, half the Christmas Day collection will go to St. Christopher’s Hospice. The Hospice was founded by Dame Cicely Saunders in 1967 and is widely regarded as the first modern hospice. It now provides palliative care of the highest quality to over 2,500 dying individuals each year on four inpatient wards at the hospice in Sydenham, south east London and in people’s own homes.
Many of us have known family, friends and colleagues who have been in the Hospice. We know the wonderful loving care that patients receive there.
I hope you agree that this is a charity worth supporting. (The other half of our Christmas offering will go to The Torch Trust which works among the blind in Malawi.)
