Spring Park Film Makers celebrated its 50th anniversary this year (2017). Founded in 1967 we began life as a cine society but now boast state-of-the-art HD equipment and a large format screen. The club has many members who enjoy not only filming and contributing to film festivals, where they have won several top awards, but making family films and meeting socially.
We have a varied programme including competitions, guest speakers and visits. We have also been involved in community projects such as filming the Ordination and Induction of the Reverend Bill Bowman here at the Emmanuel Church, a film on the history of Bromley Colleges, an edited version of Joyce Walker’s presentation ‘A Window on West Wickham’ which was shown as part of the local Queen’s Jubilee celebrations, and many more.
We meet at the Emmanuel Church every other Thursday evening from 7.45pm to 10.00pm. Anyone interested in amateur filmmaking, or just using your phone to video, come along and visit us. We can help you with a few basic steps to start you on the road to making a film for your whole family to watch on the television.
