Dutch Flower Trade & AGM

The Men’s Fellowship held their annual general meeting on the evening of 12th May. This effectively recognised the continuation of its existing structure although there was some discussion with regard to the extent of next season’s programme. This issue will receive further attention over the summer.

Once the formal part of the meeting was over, Roy Castle entertained us with an interesting talk on his personal experience with the Dutch horticultural industry. Roy supported his talk with a slide show which demonstrated just how thoroughly industrious the Dutch are when it comes to commercial gardening. The evening was rounded off with a delightful short film giving an overview of a spring flower festival held in the Keukenhof gardens.
