The Annual London Churches Walk, organised by Unlock (a Christian charity formed in 1972) this year will be on Saturday 23rd April, almost a reprise of the 2010 which was around the partially built Olympic area. It is now called the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and will presumably be considerably upgraded from when we went before. It is always an interesting day out. Details will be in the Vestibule after Easter. For more information go to www.UNLOCK-URBAN.ORG.UK
The charity helps deprived areas and churches.
Please sign up if you are planning to come and note that we shall be meeting at West Wickham Station at about 9.15 am to catch the train to Lewisham. We shall then take the DLR to Stratford for a leisurely 8 mile walk around the former Olympic area .
There will be stops at eight churches – refreshments at each one but it is advisable to bring your own sandwiches.
