For over 70 years this Christian community has been living as part of the people of God in West Wickham.
The Church was founded on its present site in the Grove, off West Wickham High Street, in 1929 as a Congregational Church although the fellowship had been meeting since the late nineteenth century in a hall in North Road. Emmanuel became part of the United Reformed Church in 1972 when Congregational and Presbyterian Churches in England and Wales united to form the new denomination.
Since then both the Churches of Christ and the Congregational Union of Scotland have united with us as well.
